Zurich International School is proud to host this year’s Swiss Group of International Schools (SGIS) Annual Conference.
The theme, Surfacing What Matters: Learning for Positive Impact, reflects our aim to provide all students with the most relevant and impactful educational programme possible.
Over two inspiring days, educators, leaders, and innovators from across Switzerland will come together to share insights, exchange ideas, and explore the opportunities and challenges shaping the future of international education.
Surfacing What Matters: Learning for Positive Impact
If we want young people to positively impact their communities and the world, we need to be clear about the knowledge, competencies, dispositions, and experiences that will enable them to do so. This conference invites educators to explore how we can surface what matters most in learning, and how new approaches to assessment, evidence, and measurement can help us make that learning visible. Together, we will consider how international schools can broaden traditional measures of success to create learning that develops the whole learner and equips young people to make a meaningful, positive impact.

MEASURING WHAT MATTERS
Making visible the learning, growth, and capabilities we value through meaningful evidence and measures of success.
MULTILINGUALISM
Language as Identity Developing, valuing and leveraging learner’s languages as resources for learning, identity, connection and contribution.
