Trillium Hibbeln

Director for Accreditation and School Improvement for the Commission on International Education at NEASC


In her role at the New England Association of Schools and Colleges,Trillium leads the team that supports over 500 schools in 92 countries as they seek to transform into learning communities of the future. She has led presentations, workshops and conducted in depth school accreditation and consulting visits to over 100 schools and has written global standards and protocols to challenge and support member schools.


Trillium’s career has also included over a decade of work in fundraising and major project development in support of children’s health issues for a large hospital system. Early in her career, Trillium taught in two international schools and worked in refugee resettlement. Trillium is also the founder of a non-profit organization in 2009, the Power of Education which operates a KG to grade 9 school and community development program in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Trillium is passionate about educational access and quality in developing countries, education in crisis, AI in Education and girl’s education. Trillium holds an MA in Education and a BA in International Relations. Trillium has lived in the USA, Norway, Thailand, Paraguay, Italy, China and Poland in her quest to understand our global community.


 

From Words to Action: Collecting Evidence of Impact

Friday and Saturday Sessions


How do you know if your learners will truly be able to thrive in the world they will inherit? What is the Impact all of that work you are doing to develop ethical citizens and a sense of belonging? In this session, participants will consider the differences between good intention and input of resources, time, programs, etc. versus measuring the Impact of that work on learners. The session will further explore the NEASC ACE Learning accreditation processes, which emphasize long-term transformational Impact on all learners. While this session is particularly beneficial for schools engaged in the NEASC accreditation process, its insights are broadly applicable and useful to a wider audience.
