Teacher of Mathematics 50-60% (IB MYP and Diploma)

For our Secondary School, we are seeking to appoint an experienced, passionate, and self-motivated


Teacher of Mathematics 50-60% (IB MYP and Diploma)

A renewable two-year contract from 1 August 2025


The appointee will teach mathematics from Year 7 to Year 13 in the IB MYP and Diploma Programmes. The department guides mixed-prior achievement students to excellent academic results. All staff are expected to teach the full range of students and courses. Most teachers at ISL are homeroom teachers, contribute to the school’s service learning programme and undertake one or two weekly supervision duties.


Qualifications and Qualities desired:


Ability to teach Mathematics in the IB MYP and IB Diploma Programme

A recognised teaching qualification (graduate or postgraduate level)

Ideally three years’ proven teaching success

Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate programme

Ability to plan, deliver and evaluate lessons which stimulate and motivate students to learn

High proficiency in English. Knowledge of French is an advantage

The ability to plan, deliver and evaluate lessons that stimulate and motivate students to learn

Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes

An understanding of and sensitivity to cultural variance; a work experience in an international environment is a strong asset

Adaptability, flexibility, dynamism and a sense of humour

The ability to meet high expectations of students, colleagues and a professional parent community

Excellent ICT skills and knowledge of their effective use to support pedagogy

A commitment to self-reflection and professional development
