The Institut Montana is a fully accredited Swiss international day and boarding school in the heart of Switzerland. Founded in 1926, our school is dedicated to academic excellence and provides ideal conditions for approximately 380 students from over 50 nations to develop into healthy, ethically minded individuals. We place particular emphasis on fostering intellectual, physical, and emotional growth both inside and outside the classroom.


Montana offers a variety of academic programs that combine the best of Swiss and internationally recognized curricula for grades 1 through 12. This includes the bilingual primary school (German/English), the bilingual secondary school (lower secondary), the Swiss Gymnasium (monolingual/bilingual), and the International School, which offers the CLSP, IGCSE, HSD, and IB DP.

Das Institut Montana ist eine vollständig anerkannte schweizerisch-internationale Tages- und Internatsschule im Herzen der Schweiz. ABOUT THE POSITION


Primary School Teacher (German, Mathematics, Textile and Technology Design)

80%-100% (Start Date: August 1, 2026)


Your Responsibilities:


  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging lessons in mathematics, German,

  • as well as textile and technology design for 5th grade according to Curriculum 21

  • Differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, abilities, and interests of all students.

  • Regular assessment, documentation, and reporting of student progress using formative and summative assessment methods.

  • Creating a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that fosters academic and socio-emotional development.

  • Close collaboration with teachers of parallel classes and subject colleagues to ensure coordination and consistency within the grade level.

  • Effective and professional communication with parents, colleagues, and the school administration.

  • Actively participate in school life, teacher conferences, professional development, and school events.

  • Integrate digital tools and innovative teaching methods to promote student learning and engagement.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school's teaching and learning culture in accordance with the school's mission statement and values.

Ihre Aufgaben:

  • Planung, Vorbereitung und Durchführung von ansprechenden Unterrichtsstunden in Mathematik, Deutsch sowie Textil- und Technikdesign für die 5. Klasse gemäss Lehrplan 21

  • Differenzierter Unterricht, um den unterschiedlichen Lernbedürfnissen, Fähigkeiten und Interessen aller Schüler gerecht zu werden.

  • Regelmässige Bewertung, Dokumentation und Berichterstattung über die Fortschritte der Schüler unter Verwendung formativer und summativer Bewertungsmethoden.

  • Schaffung einer positiven, integrativen und anregenden Unterrichtsatmosphäre, die die akademische und sozial-emotionale Entwicklung fördert.

  • Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Parallelklassenlehrern und Fachkollegen, um die Abstimmung und Konsistenz innerhalb der Jahrgangsstufe sicherzustellen.

  • Effektive und professionelle Kommunikation mit Eltern, Kollegen und der Schulleitung.

  • Nehmen Sie aktiv am Schulleben, an Lehrerkonferenzen, Fortbildungen und Schulveranstaltungen teil.

  • Integrieren Sie digitale Tools und innovative Lehrmethoden, um das Lernen und Engagement der Schüler zu fördern.

  • Tragen Sie zur kontinuierlichen Verbesserung der Lehr- und Lernkultur der Schule im Einklang mit dem Leitbild und den Werten der Schule bei.
