ABOUT THE POSITION
The International School of Zug and Luzern (ISZL) is seeking an experienced, people-centred Head of Human Resources to lead our HR function and help shape an exceptional employee experience for our community of approximately 320 staff members. Reporting to the Director of Operations and leading a team of three, you will provide both strategic leadership and operational excellence across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring ISZL continues to attract, develop, support, and retain outstanding people.
This is a highly visible leadership role, working closely with the Director, Deputy Director, Senior Leadership Team, and school leaders to strengthen leadership capability, foster a culture of trust, belonging, well-being, and continuous improvement, and ensure HR remains a trusted partner across the school. You will also oversee international recruitment, onboarding, relocation, compensation, employee relations, HR systems, and compliance within the Swiss legal framework.
We are looking for an experienced HR leader with strong knowledge of Swiss employment law, excellent interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for working in an international, values-driven organisation. Fluency in both German and English is essential. Experience in an international or educational environment is advantageous, although candidates with strong Swiss HR leadership experience who are eager to learn the international school context are encouraged to apply.
ISZL offers a collaborative and welcoming community, generous benefits, professional development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to one of Switzerland’s leading international schools.
