ABOUT THE POSITION


For our Secondary School, we are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and professional:

 

University and Future Pathways Counsellor (100%)

Permanent position from 1 August 2026

 

The appointee will be one of two staff members responsible for the university and future pathways counselling programme of the Secondary School. This includes a wide range of tasks relating to the support of students, parents, and teachers in academic course selection, coordination of the university application process, and guidance of possible pathways for students after graduation. 


Main responsibilities:

  • Maintain a positive, encouraging, and realistic counselling process that is student-centred.

  • Be familiar with the various educational systems of interest to ISL students, including the associated options, entry requirements and admissions policies.

  • Support students in High School and beyond on their course choices and future options, building positive relationships.

  • Provide parent meetings and maintain open communication avenues to build family trust, particularly in Years 11 to 13.

  • Maintain contact and liaise with university representatives to promote the School and its students, support university visits, college fairs, and info sessions related to future pathways.

  • Collect and maintain organised student records, collaborate with staff members, and collate school data to facilitate a global admissions process.

  • Optimise the use of Unifrog for students in Years 11 to 13 in collaboration with Year Level Leaders, Home Room Teams and Well-Being Teacher.
