ABOUT THE SCHOOL


The Institut Montana is a fully accredited Swiss international day and boarding school in the heart of Switzerland. Founded in 1926, our school is dedicated to academic excellence and provides ideal conditions for approximately 380 students from over 50 nations to develop into healthy, ethically minded individuals. We place particular emphasis on fostering intellectual, physical, and emotional growth both inside and outside the classroom.


Montana offers a variety of academic programs that combine the best of Swiss and internationally recognized curricula for grades 1 through 12. This includes the bilingual primary school (German/English), the bilingual secondary school (lower secondary), the Swiss Gymnasium (monolingual/bilingual), and the International School, which offers the CLSP, IGCSE, HSD, and IB DP.



ABOUT THE POSITION


For our bilingual secondary school, we are seeking a Subject Teacher for grades 7-9 (72%) starting August 1, 2026.


Your responsibilities:

  • Planning, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality, student-centered instruction (grades 7-9)

  • Holistic support and development of students in their academic, social, and personal development

  • Close collaboration with parents, colleagues, the school administration, and internal specialist departments

  • Assessment and documentation of learning progress

  • Active participation in school life, projects, events, and school development processes

  • Collaboration in pedagogical teams and working groups

  • Adherence to and implementation of school guidelines and quality standards


Subject combination:


  • Economics, Work, and Home Economics (grade 7) 1 lesson

  • Spaces, Times, and Society (English as the language of immersion) (grades 7 and 8) 4 lessons

  • Nature and Technology (English as the language of immersion) English (grades 7-9) 5 lessons

  • Learning Coach (grades 7-9) 6 lessons
