ABOUT THE SCHOOL
The Institut Montana is a fully accredited Swiss international day and boarding school in the heart of Switzerland. Founded in 1926, our school is dedicated to academic excellence and provides ideal conditions for approximately 380 students from over 50 nations to develop into healthy, ethically minded individuals. We place particular emphasis on fostering intellectual, physical, and emotional growth both inside and outside the classroom.
Montana offers a variety of academic programs that combine the best of Swiss and internationally recognized curricula for grades 1 through 12. This includes the bilingual primary school (German/English), the bilingual secondary school (lower secondary), the Swiss Gymnasium (monolingual/bilingual), and the International School, which offers the CLSP, IGCSE, HSD, and IB DP.
ABOUT THE POSITION
To strengthen our team, we are seeking a Headteacher (100%, including teaching duties) to start on August 1, 2026.
Your responsibilities:
Further development of our monolingual and bilingual high school
Pedagogical and personnel management
Regular exchange with the other program directors at the primary, secondary, and international school levels
Collaboration with our discerning parents from around the world
You will preferably teach German or Physical Education
Your profile:
Teaching diploma for upper secondary schools
Teaching and leadership experience at the upper secondary level
School leadership or management training (or willingness to complete such training)
High sense of responsibility and commitment
Strong communication skills
