ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Geneva English School provides an academically ambitious education, in a caring and supportive setting, for students from the age of 3-18 at a traditional Primary campus in Genthod and a modern Secondary campus in Versoix.

ABOUT THE POSITION
We are looking for enthusiastic and well qualified Learning Assistant to join GES Primary to work as part of our Key Stage 1 teaching team.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Lead small group Phonics sessions with pupils
Work closely with the class teacher to understand what is required for each lesson and what specific support is needed for identified groups of students.
Liaise with teachers about any children with specific learning needs or causing learning concerns.
Support pupils with their learning by: clarifying and explaining instructions motivating and encouraging; helping with the teaching of reading, writing, speaking, spelling, handwriting, presentation, mathematics and other subjects across the curriculum; helping children to concentrate on and complete work set; promoting and reinforcing children’s confidence and self-esteem.
Feedback to teachers any relevant information to help the children’s learning.
