ABOUT THE POSITION


Do you identify with this description?

You are a trustworthy teacher with empathy, humor, and a touch of idealism, who is committed to the well-being of our students. Using creative approaches, you inspire young people with history and can also teach a second subject (e.g., German, geography, or biology). In small learning groups with an average of six students, you will address the individual needs of the Ecolians and create a framework for conveying content in a clear and engaging way. You can enrich our holistic learning offerings in the afternoon program (especially in one of the areas of music and performing arts, sports, arts, and crafts), and you can imagine not only working here, but also living here with a full-time position and supporting the boarding school's work. However, part-time teaching only history (and ideally a second subject) is also possible.


What makes you qualified:

  • University degree in history (and ideally a second subject)

  • Ideally, teaching experience at secondary school (grades 7 to 9) and secondary school (high school diploma) levels

  • Openness to new forms of learning

  • Enjoyment of working with young people
