ABOUT THE POSITION


The Summer School caters for up to 500 students each summer aged 8-16 years old representing 45 nations.


Summer School staff are expected to make a significant contribution to the ethos of Aiglon and the Summer School. The expectation is that staff will be positive and contribute enthusiastically to the work and life of the Summer School, creating a safe and welcoming environment for all.


The Summer School Head of Boarding is responsible for the residential houses and the line management of the House staff teams (Houseparent and house tutors). The role is to offer support during the programmes, guiding the teams during Summer School. A key priority is to ensure thatmthe houseparents have adequate time to care for the children in each boarding house, and fulfil the responsibilities of the role.


The Head of Boarding is expected to carry out their duties in a spirit of cooperation, collegiality and open communication with houseparents and house tutors, the Summer School’s administration and Leadership team (SSLT). The role will require clear communication and reporting at meetings.


The role reports to the Summer School Director, and is a member of the Summer School Leadership Team (SSLT). Accommodation is provided for the Head of Boarding on campus in the staff accommodation.
