ABOUT THE SCHOOL

For over 70 years, Aiglon College has offered students a holistic and inspirational experience that pushes the boundaries of traditional education. John Corlette founded the school in 1949 on a distinctive ethos: the balanced development of mind, body, and spirit.

The school, nestled at 1,200 meters in the Swiss Alps, is home to over 460 students, from 7-18 years old, representing more than 60 different nationalities. From junior through to senior school, students benefit from all the advantages of an international boarding environment. They form lasting bonds with each other and with excellent educators who guide them towards academic and personal success. Aiglon considers intercultural education to be foundational elements of its school culture, values, practices and preparations for life.

Aiglon staff are enthusiastic, experienced, committed, reflective, dynamic and willing to try new ideas. They have varied and diverse interests and passions that are evident both in and out of the classroom setting. The school fosters a collaborative, open-minded, dynamic, intellectually curious and purpose-driven work culture.

Aiglon’s remarkable national and cultural diversity is an inspiring example of how, on a small scale, we are able to build a harmonious and fulfilled community.

ABOUT THE POSITION

JOB PURPOSE

The School wishes to appoint, from August 2026, a Learning Support Assistant to work closely on a one-to-one basis with a senior school student who has a neurodiverse learning profile. This role will focus on supporting the student’s access to the curriculum, organisation, independence, and social-emotional wellbeing within the senior school environment.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, the Learning Support team, pastoral staff, and parents to ensure the student can fully participate in the academic and community life of the school. Experience working with neurodiverse learners (for example Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, executive functioning differences, or specific learning needs) would be a distinct advantage.

It is expected that this post will involve supporting approximately 25-35 hours per week. This is a term-time only position.
