Purpose
- To have overall responsibility and strategic overview of Art at the International School of Zurich North.
Key Accountabilities
- To develop an Art programme with the aim of delivering excellence across both the primary and secondary school
- Be responsible for the day-to-day management and development of the department by: Modelling outstanding teaching and leading collaborative planning and development.
- Ensure that curriculum plans for the Middle years, IGCSE and IAL are in place (secondary)
- Work with the PYP coordinator to ensure that the Unit Planners for the IB PYP programme (primary) are current and regularly reviewed.
- Take on the role of a Form Tutor in the secondary school.
- Take an active role in the co-curricular life of the school.
Safeguarding Responsibilities
- To comply with safeguarding policies, procedures and code of conduct
- To demonstrate a personal commitment to safeguarding and student/colleague wellbeing
- To ensure that any safeguarding concerns or incidents are reported appropriately in line with policy.
- To engage in safeguarding training when required

Undergraduate degree - Skills
Strong organisational skills
Proven track record of high standards and expectations.
Experience of strategic planning.
Competence and confidence in the use of IT.
