ABOUT THE POSITION

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring Science teacher both of General Science and as a specialist teacher of Biology up to and including our bespoke KS4 programme and the IB Diploma Programme at both HL and SL from August 2025. Prior experience with the IB Diploma programme would be advantageous.

The Science Faculty at Le Régent International School

In Grade 6 - 8 students are taught combined science, following the International Middle Years Curriculum. In response to evolving educational needs and our shift from the IGCSE course, the department has undergone a transformative overhaul of our KS3 and KS4 science programmes. In Grade 9, students engage in a comprehensive curriculum covering the three Science courses. The Grade 10 programme, designed to seamlessly progress from Grade 9 to the IB programme, offers three pathways: Pure Science Pathway (rigorous foundation in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics for IB specialisation), Natural Science Pathway (integrates Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Management/Science), and Physical Science Pathway (combines Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science/Applied Physics, exploring interdisciplinary fields). This approach not only aligns with the demands of the IB Diploma Programme but also nurtures their individual interests and potential career paths.
