To implement and deliver music/vocal lessons appropriate to the age, ability and aptitude of the school's pupils, whilst maintaining the positive ethos and core values of the school, both inside and outside the classroom at all times. We are looking for an exceptional teacher who has at least three years' experience teaching music to pupils aged 3-10 and who is committed to excellence, continuous improvement, inspiration and enthusiasm. 


In general, primary music teaching staff will be responsible for the following: 

  • To be responsible for the day-to-day running of the class. 
  • To provide pastoral care to meet each child’s needs. 
  • To maintain records of achievement and monitor and assess academic progress. 
  • To provide an exciting learning environment with the use of stimulating and meaningful display in the classroom and general school environment. 
  • To complete meaningful written reports on each child at the end of each term. 
  • To be available for consultation with parents on a daily basis. 
  • To work as part of a team. 

Whilst every effort has been made to explain the main duties and responsibilities of the post, each individual responsibility undertaken may not be identified. Skills and previous experience 

  • A minimum of 3 years experience with students in a primary school 


  • Previous experience in a high performing international school 

Qualifications and Accreditations 

  • University degree in Music 
  • Certified Teaching Status 
  • Appropriate right to work in Switzerland
