Schools around the world and here in Switzerland are increasingly focused on improving their environmental sustainability and supporting students’ learning and action on this topic. UNESCO has an aim to Green Every School and by 2030 have at least 50% of schools in each country meeting this objective. There is an urgent need for us to accelerate this change so we would like to create a group that shares these common interests and supports students across the SGIS region to be creative with environmental sustainability.
Objectives of the Group:
- Provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and best practices on sustainability
- Provide inspiration and support to work towards building environmental sustainability into the DNA of schools, from curriculum, pedagogy, and assessment to school culture
- Come together as one community and create hope, transforming “Eco-Anxiety” into “Eco-Ambition”
