Educational Psychologist

What we require:

  • Master’s degree and further advanced studies that are relevant to the role
  • Experience within the field of psychology in educational settings
  • Diagnostic, methodological and legal competencies as well as the ability to take on an advising role
  • Excellent communication skills complemented by cooperative and reflective work habits
  • Reliable, responsible and flexible professional with the ability to perform under pressure
  • Native English speaker with basic understanding of German or willingness to partake in English courses

The Position:

For the academic year 2018/19 we are tentatively seeking qualified, experienced and passionate educators to assume the role of a

Primary Class Teacher: Kindergarten-Grade 2 (100%)

Primary teachers at OBS are responsible for the academic and social development of their students. They are also expected to be an active member of the school community, working closely with their partner teacher and collaborating with the wider team. We expect our teachers to actively take part in committees and school development as well as maintaining a strong commitment to professional development and lifelong learning.

What we require:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a primary school teaching qualification
  • Experience as a class teacher with strong classroom management skills
  • Native English speaker with basic understanding of German or willingness to partake in English courses
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Independence and the ability to handle stressful situations and the conflicting demands of the school community

ISZL

The International School of Zug and Luzern (ISZL) is a highly regarded independent co-educational, non-profit day school serving the international community of Central Switzerland. Our student body is made up of over 1250 students from 57 different nationalities, ages 3 to 18 years across two campuses. As an IB World School, we offer the IB Primary Years, Middle Years and Diploma Programmes. In addition, students in Grades 11 and 12 have the option of taking Advanced Placement (AP) courses.

For our Zug Campus in Walterswil/Baar, ISZL is seeking a:

Science - Maternity Cover (ASAP- 7 May 2018 with some flexibility depending on applicant)

ISZL is looking for a qualified science teacher to begin as soon as possible and continue through the first week of May. This maternity leave cover may include up to five classes depending on the qualifications and experiences of the successful applicant. The position could include five classes--three MYP 5 integrated science classes; one IB Year 1 SL/HL Biology; and one Biology course for grade 11. The position would also include tutor (i.e., pastoral care) responsibilities. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced teacher who is willing to collaborate with colleagues and integrate within the ISZL culture.
