SGIS ARTS TEACHER CONFERENCE - 2 February 2024

The second SGIS Arts Teacher Conference was held at the International School of Lausanne on Friday, 2 February 2024. It was attended by nearly 80 teachers, representing 31 SGIS schools. It was another brilliant day of professional learning, collaboration and networking which built on the success of the first SGIS Arts Teacher Conference at ISBerne in September 2022. Kindly sponsored by Gerstaecker and SGIS, the conference featured a robust and exciting programme of twenty-two workshops across four hour-long sessions.

It was wonderful to witness how the community of Arts teachers within SGIS has developed since our first conference. Teachers were connecting and reconnecting with one another, strengthening ties created in Berne eighteen months before and at subsequent events (such as the SGIS Symphony Orchestra Festival). There was palpable excitement and joy throughout the day as educators collaborated with and learned from each other.

Emerging media (digital installation, Data Visualization?, AI? Generative Art?
