Swiss Mathematics Conference 2018

Friday February 16th 2018

For many years, member schools of the Swiss Group of International Schools (SGIS) have hosted an annual conference focusing on discussing mathematics pedagogy in secondary education.

The Swiss Mathematics Conference 2018 (#PlusMathsConf) is no different in that respect, although we have decided to open up the conference to those outside of the SGIS this year. The sole reason for this is to enrich the conference with even more enthusiasm and ideas on improving mathagogy.

Whether you’re based in Switzerland, or any other country close by, we hope that you are able to join us. If you are off for February half-term at this time, Switzerland is the perfect destination to enjoy skiing and chocolat chaud, and what better way to end it than adding in a bit of maths! #PlusMathsConf

Dear Colleagues,
We are organizing a weekend of PYP Cluster Workshops, on site at International School Zurich North.
All Category 3, the workshops are for educators to build on and enhance their understanding and mastery of a particular subject. As we are offering the workshops as part of a Cluster Model, the IB has stated that we are able to invite participants from within Switzerland.

The registration fee is €429, with an additional €11 per person catering subsidy (as determined by the IB) and the deadline is 23rd March. Late registration fees then apply to participants registering within 21 days of the event start date. Each school is required to register their participants via IBIS.

We look forward to welcoming many visitors from the Swiss Network. For further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Kind Regards,
