Laurie Hawkins, currently a lecturer at the University of Lethbridge, in Canada, returns to Switzerland where she served as Director of Student Support Services for Zurich International School (ZIS) for 10 years. Before ZIS,  she served as a teacher and school administrator in Canada, Saudi Arabia and Russia.

Laurie brings an experienced and frank approach to the realities of teaching and administration in International Schools. Her presentations entitled Inclusion: Is it really working? and How sustainable are Student Support Programs in International Schools? offer an opportunity for educators to delve into the complex demands of serving widely diverse populations of students.

Sigrid Ott-Benson: pioneer of International Education

Sigrid Ott-Benson was a pioneer with a life of adventures. She spent her youth in the beautiful plains of North Dakota, USA and lived her later years in the picturesque Alpine village of Leysin, Switzerland. Her life’s experiences influenced her to become a leader in the international education movement.
